We are in the middle of complete chaos! Aaron's tieing up his internship. He's working on a paper and presentation to the World Bank. I have been dealing with problem after problem with documents necessary for the boys to get their Brazilian paperwork. Over the last 6 weeks we've had 5 different sets of visitors. I'm semi managing a neighbor's apartment while she is sublets it for the month she is traveling. We have to sell pretty much everything we own! Not to mention actually packing what we are taking. Meanwhile, we are still living a normally busy life in NYC. Boys love to be at the playground. They long for social interaction and fun play times. Aaron and I are striving to make the most of our time in NYC. Our desire is to end well, say goodbye to dear friends who were complete strangers just months ago. And of course complete our NYC "bucket list"!!!
LIFE IS CRAZY
I looked at Aaron the other day and said, why in the world are we working so hard to leave this place when we don't want to go?!?!? It's that thing that you do when you know what's best for you and you follow in obedience. I've found myself here over and over again as I follow God's direction on my life. Though the unknown is often scary and ambiguous - especially when the familiar has surprised you with joy - sitting in the center of God's will is the best place to be. So even though I may kick, cry, and scream in these challenging times, I chose to move forward because I trust Him who leads me.
Amen, sweet friend. I could have written that myself! I always say that if it is easy to leave, I haven't invested enough. All those things will get done - and the moments you spend with special friends will linger in your heart and mind for a very long time. Soak up every minute. Praying that the Lord will give you rest, multiply your sleep and your time, energize you and give you the patience of Job with that paperwork! He indeed leads you and you are pleasing Him as you follow. So proud of you and Aaron. What an example you setting for you boys.
